History of "SURABHI" Lions Blind Girls School
"Surabhi" Lions Blind Girls School was established on the 26th March 1991 by the founder of Lions Blind Girls Welfare Centre Trust Mr. Nagin Patel along with treasurer Mr. Jitu Vajani and secretary Mr Harendra Trivedi. The Lions Blind Girls School was started in a small rental tenement with just 4 girls and 5 staff members. In just two years we had to shift the Lions Blind Girls School to a larger premises due to an increase in the number of students. Since 1993 we have been operating the Lions Blind Girls School from 30, Goyagate Society, Pratap Nagar, Vadodara 390004. As the school grows the number of students have increased drastically and now it is our responsibility to provide these students with a better infrastructure which is completely accessible and secure. Today Lions Blind Girls School has become a prestigious educational center for visually impaired girls from where 650 plus have finished their lower secondary education and gone on to pursue higher education at other institutions. Since the past 30 years Lions Blind Girls School, Vadodara is providing an educational platform for visually impaired girls and will continue to achieve our mission by matching shoulders with new educational techniques and technologies.
